proper driveshaft if you send it back to them. They could probably change the yokes or whatever and have a better chance of selling it as a used piece and get you the correct one at a discount. Might be a long shot, but if it works, its much better than you having someone weld it. I dont think I'd trust a welded together driveshaft unless they were F1 mechanics. I just dont think the local shop can get the angles right after they cut it apart. Imo the chance of vibration from it being out of wack is too high.
